On Friday 8 March, every child in Years 5 & 6 wowed their audience with their advanced and mature portrayal of โAround the World in 80 days.โย Described by Mr Evans asย โa masterpiece of technical theatreโ,ย the production used ever-changing physical theatre shapes to take the audience of Phileas Foggโs journey. The cast created trains, ships, elephants, sledges with nothing more than umbrellas and a sheet. The production utilsed what Mrs Jenkins refers to as the โdressing up box techniqueโ to allow all children to take their turn in the spotlight feeling safe and empowered. The children worked hard to communicate characterisation, narrative and comic moments, They should all feel incredibly proud of what they achieved.
Proud parents were astounded!
