Windlesham House School is proud to announce that one of our talented Year 7 pupils, Eva A, has been selected to represent Nigeria as a development athlete at the 16th Africa Aquatics Junior Swimming Championship. This prestigious event will take place in Cairo, Egypt, from 30 April  to 4 May  2025.

Eva’s selection comes as a result of her outstanding performances at recent UK swimming events. It appears that the Nigeria Aquatics Federation has been monitoring her progress from afar, and has been impressed with her recent personal bests, especially in the butterfly events. Her dedication, hard work, and exceptional talent have earned her a place on Team Nigeria, where she will be swimming with some of the best young swimmers from across the continent. Eva will be departing for Cairo on April 27th and will return on May 5th, 2025. This opportunity will not only allow her to gain valuable experience but also to further develop her skills in the sport she loves.

The Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAqF) has extended their greetings to Windlesham House School and expressed their appreciation for the support and cooperation in releasing Eva for this championship. The Federation’s Secretary General, Taiwo Oriss-O., emphasized the importance of this experience for Eva’s rapid skill development in swimming.

We are incredibly proud of Eva’s achievements and wish her the best of luck as she represents both Nigeria and Windlesham House School on this international stage. Her success is a testament to her hard work and dedication, training weekly at Atlantis Swimming Club as well as with the Windlesham Swim Academy.
