As members of the British forces we recognise the commitment you have made to the country and the implications this can have for your family. We therefore aim to offer a happy and supportive environment in which your children can thrive and you can feel reassured that they are well cared for.
We are pleased to offer reduced fees for British forces families in receipt of CEA. In addition to the CEA, this means British forces families pay a maximum addition of only 10% of the boarding fees. The family contribution per child for 2024-2025 per term would be:
Year 3-5 £3,973 including VAT
Year 6-8 £4,088 including VAT
The boarding fee includes tuition, breakfast, three-course lunch, two course supper, three snacks per day, daily laundry, sports and prep, contribution to travel and accommodation when representing the school, and internet access. Please be aware that fees in many other schools are not inclusive of all of the above and are charged as ‘extras’ on termly bills.
Jon Farrer, Deputy Head Pastoral is a former army officer and Alexandra Evans, Headmaster’s wife is the daughter of an army chaplain. She moved every two years and understands the benefits of a boarding school where you can keep the same friends for many years, feel settled and at home and enjoy a whole range of activities (she promises she worked hard too!).
With over 80 full boarders the evenings and weekends are far from dull. There is always someone to play with or talk to, whether your child’s preferred activities are sports, reading or art, they will find things that they enjoy. There are caring boarding staff and matrons to look after your child and guide them towards greater independence.
Our flexibility in boarding means that although we usually have around 70 pupils in school each weekend you will also be able to pick your children up for the weekend when you have leave. They can also visit family and friends with your permission.
We also know how important it is for you to keep in touch with your child – you can call them every evening, they can call you in the morning or evening, we can set up zoom calls at times to suit you and at weekends we give the children their phones for an hour so they can message or call you.
Windlesham House School is 45 miles (90 minutes) from Sandhurst, 50 miles (90 minutes) from RAF Odiham and 39 miles (50 minutes) from Portsmouth.
