Reception to Year 4 pupils took to the fresh air in during their forest school lessons. The pupils hunted for conkers to use in their crafts including the creation of: conker snails, conker people, conker necklaces and conker hedgehogs. The children enjoyed drilling holes in them to attach strings for a good old fashioned game of conkers! Year 2 were very excited to find dragon eggs in an abandoned nest. They followed a scattering of jewels (dragon tears) to discover the nest and have taken them back their classroom to keep them warm in the hope they may hatch with enough care and attention.
There has been a new introduction to the forest school provision – a slack line. This is a lovely way for children to play in the trees whilst improving their balance and gross motor skills.
