The Golf season started in spectacular fashion on a beautiful and sunny afternoon at Seaford College on Tuesday 7 May. Eight of our keen golfers (and Mr Watkins) travelled to Seaford to play in a competitive fixture against Seaford and Westbourne. Each golfer played with real desire in the heat with some fantastic shots and representing the school incredibly well. Scores have been accumulated and will not be released until the further fixtures against Seaford/Westbourne have been completed after the May half term. What a brilliant start to the golf season!
On Saturday 11 May, we hosted our first ever inter-house golf competition. 25 children (from Years 5-8 and a keen Year 2 pupil) competed in their house colours. From the first tee, they were ready to play with pride for their house; determined to shoot a low score in order to score vital points for the house cup. A fantastic event enjoyed by all. The results will be shared soon.
